Credit Authorization
Last Updated: January 2026
1. Authorization to Obtain Credit Reports
By submitting a loan application, funding request, or inquiry through Capitari ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you authorize Capitari and its lending partners, affiliates, and service providers to obtain your personal and/or business credit reports from one or more consumer reporting agencies. This authorization applies to the initial evaluation of your application as well as any subsequent reviews, updates, renewals, or extensions of credit.
2. Types of Credit Inquiries
Your credit may be accessed through the following types of inquiries:
2.1 Soft Credit Inquiry (Soft Pull)
A soft credit inquiry may be conducted during the initial pre-qualification or evaluation stage of your application. Soft inquiries do not affect your credit score and are not visible to other creditors on your credit report. Soft pulls are used to assess your general creditworthiness and determine whether you may qualify for financing products.
2.2 Hard Credit Inquiry (Hard Pull)
A hard credit inquiry may be conducted when your application progresses to the formal underwriting stage or when a specific lending partner requires a full credit review to make a funding decision. Hard inquiries are recorded on your credit report and may temporarily affect your credit score. Hard pulls are visible to other creditors and typically remain on your credit report for up to two (2) years.
You understand and acknowledge that one or more hard credit inquiries may be made in connection with your application, and that such inquiries may have a temporary impact on your credit score.
3. Consumer Reporting Agencies
Credit reports may be obtained from one or more of the following consumer reporting agencies, as well as other reporting agencies as needed:
- Equifax
- Experian
- TransUnion
- Dun & Bradstreet (for business credit reports)
- Other specialty consumer reporting agencies as applicable
If you wish to obtain a copy of your credit report or dispute any information contained in your report, you may contact the relevant consumer reporting agency directly.
4. Accuracy of Information Provided
You represent and warrant that all information provided in connection with your application, including your name, date of birth, Social Security Number, Employer Identification Number, address, and other identifying information, is true, accurate, and complete. You understand that providing false or misleading information may result in the denial of your application and may constitute fraud under applicable law.
5. Scope of Authorization
This authorization extends to:
- The initial review and evaluation of your application for financing
- Sharing your credit information with third-party lenders, financial institutions, and funding partners who may consider your application
- Ongoing monitoring of your credit profile during the term of any financing arrangement you enter into with a lending partner
- Any subsequent application, renewal, extension, or modification of credit
- Verification of information provided in your application
6. Duration of Authorization
This authorization remains in effect from the date of your application submission until the earlier of: (a) the completion or denial of your application and any resulting financing arrangement; (b) the termination of any financing agreement entered into through our services; or (c) your written revocation of this authorization, which you may submit at any time by contacting us. Revocation of this authorization does not affect any credit inquiries already conducted or information already obtained.
7. Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), you have the right to:
- Obtain a copy of your credit report from the consumer reporting agencies
- Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information on your credit report
- Be notified if information in your credit report has been used against you in a credit decision
